    How do I order a license?
    All product pages for our Commercial Components have a tab 'Buy Now'.
    Here you find buttons for all available license and, where applicable, upgrade options.

    When you click a button you are taken to the online ordering process of Share-it!.
    You can select 'Add to Cart' when you need more components or select 'Buy Now !' when you are ready.

    More information of what happens next is available in the article 'I am about to order but need to start immediately.'

    What is this message: ERROR registering the xxx component
    It means you are using mixing licenses for different clients/developers (can, in rare cases, also occur after a name change).

    The component that gives you the error is not necessarily the one that belongs to another client but it is the first one that 'stumbles' onto the difference.

    When you know where it comes from you can just exchange the faulty license with the new one.

    When you do not know where it comes from it is best to look for the last email with your license information or use the Components Manager to generate new licenses.

    That should do it!

    When that does not help you can create a support ticket and we will have to check what happened (don't forget to include the licenses).

    How can I apply for a Trial license?
    You need our IT2BE Components Manager to install our Components and your Developer license.

    When you do not yet have the Components Manager installed you can download it here.
    Do not forget to download and read the manual as well!

    When you have the Components Manager installed you can start it.

    • Navigate to the menu 'Licenses > Request' and select it;
    • Select the Components that you want to receive trial licenses for;

    • On the second page (click 'Next') you have to enter your Credentials;

    • When you are done you can send your request.

    An Email will be sent to you soon after you sent your request.

    This email will either ask your for additional information about your credentials (please read 'Why do I receive that email asking for additional information after requesting a license') or it will have the requested licenses attached.

    How do I install your licenses?
    You need our IT2BE Components Manager to install our Components and your Developer license.

    When you do not yet have the Components Manager installed you can download it here.
    Do not forget to download and read the manual as well!

    Attached to the license email you will find 2 files.

    The .xml file is the file that contains your Developer License Key. You can import this .xml using the Component Manager.
    There is no need to deploy your Developer License (please read the License Agreement).

    In the .txt file your will find one or more license strings for each Component that you have a license for.
    The license string must be included in your Servoy Solution before you call that Component for the first time.

    I can not find my license email and license files anymore.
    You can always request your license files again with our IT2BE Components Manager.

    When you do not yet have the Components Manager installed you can download it here.
    Do not forget to download and read the manual as well!

    Please make sure that you use the correct credentials and, when you have commercial licenses, that the email address of the original buyer is used (see the article 'Why do I receive an email asking for additional information after requesting a license?' as well).

    I used the Components Manager to ask for a (trial) license but I did not recieve it.
    Instead I received ant email asking for additional information after requesting a license?
    Why is that?
    In general there are 2 scenario's that trigger such an email:

    You are using the same credentials for different 'clients' or you forgot about an earlier registration and you entered a (slightly) different name.
    The registration server will recognize the duplicate email (for instance) but will complain about the fact that you are using credentials that belong to another client.
    You are asked to check it and reply to the email with a reply.

    You 'own' commercial licenses but you use credentials that are different from those on our registration server.
    For security reasons we only send out licenses to a registered email address. When the registration server is unable to match the data it will send you an email and you are asked to reply to it.
    In general we will not honor such a request and ask you to go through the person registered.

    A few TIPS:
    1. Store the license confirmation email and or the attached license files;
    2. Communicate within your organization who is responsible for requesting licenses;
    3. Make a backup of the credentials that you entered (although the Components Manager will always store the credentials you last used);

    I don't understand the option 'Upgrade to Servoy 4+' in your store.
    Why and when do I have to buy this?
    When you are still using the 'Servoy 3.5 version' (pre Servoy 4 Eclipse) of our Components chances are that you do not yet have a maintenance subscription.

    We created an option, for all Commercial Components, to upgrade. Just look for 'UPGRADE xxx license to Servoy 4+' under the tab 'Buy Now' of the Component(s) of your choice.

    Please make sure that you upgrade the correct license!

    When you are not sure about this you can always create a ticket with your question in our Support System.

    I have a Single Developer license but I hired additional personel, how do I upgrade?
    When you are an individual or have a company with one developer you are allowed to use our components with a Single Developer license.

    When you have grown and you now have more developers you should upgrade to a Site License (we really hope that this is because you are successful so congratulations are in order).

    For that we have an option for all Commercial Components 'UPGRADE from a Single Developer license to a Site license'.

    You can find this option under the tab 'Buy Now' of the Component(s) of your choice.

    When you are not sure about this you can always create a ticket with your question in our Support System.

    Can you please explain when we need a Site license
    In short: when you are a company with more than one developer, and you intend to work with our component(s) with more than one developer you need a Site license.

    A site license grants you the following rights (see the License Agreement for more information):

    SITE LICENSE: If you are using the Materials under the control of a Site license (or an unlimited-developer license), you may use the Materials with a Team of developers.
    IT2BE will provide you with a license code key that enables the Materials for a Site license.
    The Site license grants you the right to distribute the Redistributables as a part of your solution to an unlimited number of clients/sites without any additional runtime fees.
    The Site license only grants you the right to expose the license code key and the API to members of the development team and only during development of your solution.
    If you obtained a time-limited Trial license, the duration (time period) of your license and your ability to use the Materials is limited to the time period of the obtained license, which is controlled by the license key code for the Materials.

    The Site license does not grant any individual to use and distribute any portion of the Materials other than in the manner provided above.

    Why is there a Developer license and a Runtime license?
    A Runtime license is the license that you need to be able to use our Components in a Servoy Client.
    You are allowed to distribute a Runtime license as part of your solution (You have to because it is a string value).

    A Developer license is the license that you need to develop your Solution, using our Components.
    You are never allowed to distribute a Developer license.

    (How) can I copy IT2BE Component licenses to another location?
    It would say not.

    It is far easier and better to take the original file that was sent to you (or your co-worker) and use the IT2BE Components Manager to install the developer licenses.

    When you do not yet have the Components Manager installed you can download it here.
    Do not forget to download and read the manual as well!

    How and where can I check my licenses?
    You can do this using our IT2BE Components Manager.

    When you do not yet have the Components Manager installed you can download it here.
    Do not forget to download and read the manual as well!

    When you open the Components Manager you will immediately see the main window.

    On the left hand side you see all available Components.

    On the right hand side you have an overview of all (available) information including license and subscription information.

    See the below screenshot.

    Important: you have no license information when you did not install the Developer License(s).
    When you see this message message in the Servoy log file '
    READING DEVELOPER LICENSES CANCELLED: PROPERTIES NOT FOUND…' after starting IT2BE Components Manager it means that the Developer Licenses are not (yet) installed.

    Not installing the Developer License(s) does not influence the way our Components work.
    When not installing them (mandatory on your clients server) you can simply ignore this message.
